2007.09.22 - I truly LOVE home weddings! They have a special atmosphere, so personal and intimate. It seems to heighten the bonds of family and friends when you are married somewhere that has deep connection to you.

Frankie & Jessi (are you singing already?) were married at her parents' home just south of Colorado Springs. Then they went to the Cheyenne Mountain Resort for a lovely evening reception.

Here are a few images to give you a feel for the day.

The warmth of flowers in a home - excellent

Grandma checking on the new bride

Jessi styling before the ceremony begins. Her parents live on top of a mountain, so we had these incredible views through these huge windows (how do they keep the place WARM in winter? Jessi looked stunning in front of the windows as you can see.

Look at the gorgeous geometry here! The wind, a l-o-n-g wedding veil, the sun behind them providing a glorious shadowplay - WOW!

A moment of excitement as one of the flowergirls tripped - and the expansiveness of the setting was simply breath-taking!

Look at all that beautiful sky!! This is the back yard. mind you.

After the ceremony, we went and played for a bit. Jessi and Frankie were a real joy to work with - they could really let their emotions show through - and they were SO PLAYFUL and in love!!!

A quiet moment for the new couple. Congratulations Frankie and Jessi! I can't wait until you can move to Colorado.
